In the Year 1965 this Department was established as an integrated Department in the name of Bio Science. Later on, in the Year 1994, the Department was separated in the name of Zoology. Zoology Department is one of the renowned departments of the Malda College on the basis of academic environment and performance of the students.
The Department takes active participation in remedial coaching for academically backward students. Moreover, Department organizes parents/guardians-teachers meet to grow their awareness on the performance of the students. Department provide computer and internet facility to the students. Department has a seminar library with approximately 120 books.
