The department was establish in 1948 with Inter-Science Course. Three Year B.Sc. General Course was introduced in 1948 and Three Year B.Sc. Honourse in Mathematics Course was introduced in 1969. The department has 118 seats in Mathematics (Hons) Course and 35 seats in B.Sc. General Course. Our students secures high ranks in almost every year in University of Gour Banga Final Examinations.
