Exploring History is a bi-annual UGC approved Peer-reviewed journal for History and other social science subjects. The journal has been issuing by the Post Graduate Department of History, Malda College, Malda since 2010.

Aim and Scope:

The main aim of the journal is to explore the new research area of different Social Science subjects specially History .The journal was initiated for encouraging the fundamental research thought in History and Social Science. It as well puts importance on review of old research thought. Now a day's contemporary research is going on in different dimensions and the journal is the way to look forward to different aspects and scopes of research. Exploring History is the platform of new promising scholars, students, academicians and reputed scholars of India and abroad for sharing their key research ideas and thoughts. Trace on regional history is another objective of the journal.

Frequency of Publication:

The Exploring History is a biannual journal, generally published each year by 30 June and 31 December. The last date(s) for submission of essays/articles in these volumes are 31 March and 30 September respectively each year.

Publication Fee

No fee is required for publication of an article to Exploring History. Only originality and quality of paper is required for publication to Exploring History.

Copyright

By submitting an article to Exploring History for publication author(s) accept the 'Publishing Agreement' and thereby transfer the copyright to the Postgraduate Department of History, Malda College, Malda . However, the author(s) will retain certain rights such as to use for a patent, to use for the preparation of a lecture.

Author Guidelines

Now a day's contemporary research is going on in different dimensions and the journal is the way to look forward to different aspects and scopes. Exploring History is the platform of new promising scholars, students, academicians and reputed scholars of India and abroad for sharing their key research ideas and thoughts. Trace on regional history is another objective of the journal.
Nature & Status of the Journal: Exploring History is a Bi-annual UGC approved Peer-reviewed journal for History and other social science subjects. The journal has been issuing by the Post Graduate Department of History, Malda College, Malda since 2010.

Frequency of Publication: The Exploring History is a biannual journal, generally published each year by 30 June and 31 December. The last date(s) for submission of essays/articles in these volumes are 31 March and 30 September respectively each year.
All articles must be formatted for printing on one side of A4 paper with margins on all sides and double-spaced throughout (i.e., including quotations, notes, references and any other matter). The media should be PC-compatible and the text should be in MS Word.
The length of an article should not exceed 10,000 words.
The article must include an abstract within 150-200 words after the title of the paper along with 4-6 key words.
Title page: The title should be concise to describe the main importance of the work. Times New Roman 14 point fonts must be used for the title.
The article must focus on important new results. Papers must be concise, lucid, and interesting that will attract the reader to the work.
Obviously, findings are very essential part of the article. The article should mention clearly about the research gap, area of discussion with specific methodology.
There is no need to highlight paragraph(s) by giving any sub-title except Abstract (like Introduction, Review of literature, Research gap, Methodology... and Conclusion.)
Use Microsoft Word End Note (follow the number style 1,2,3..) for references./p>

Interview Method:

In case of Interview please mention the full name and address of the person(s) and date of the interview. The video or soft copy of the interview is essential to review any confusion.

Citing Archival Sources:

For citation Archival sources please mention: Name of Collection, Author/ Department, Series/Proceeding, File Name/No., Sl. No., Date, Archive.
